After 9 years the last Soviet soldier leaves Afghanistan How long will it take us?

This Government of ours just doesn't get it!!! It's a war that will never be won! The Russians couldn't do it, nor can we! The Afghans aren't listening to our Democratic propaganda. they have never reached a point in time, to realize being united MAKES a country great. It takes a strong man to accomplish that, and enough people who will support him. It's a country of too many chiefs, and the Indians don't know which one to follow!! Even when we depart their country, it's still going to be in the mess it's in now!! They are going to continue growing their poppies, cos the stuff grows wild there, and doesn't take much of an effort to pick them! They have mineral resources, but they don't have enough people with the knowledge to extract it! OR, maybe, they just want to be left alone and continue living in the 10th century! Why should our troops die for a lost cause?
