Slip disc surgery went awesome and I am better than ever thank you Jesus!?

I had a herniated disc and had surgery today 7/25/2010 at 7:15am I am sitting here right now so happy that I don't have pain in my left leg and ock the Relief is wonderful I had to have basically emergency surgery because I was at the point that I could not walk it was a disaster I felt as if I wanted to die it just hurt so bad I went to a chiropractor days prior and he said that he dealt with people that disc bulge in mm and my bulge is in cm but also had a fracture I guess a piece was broken off and every doctor has said I need this surgery I came here to the er 7/22/2010 because the meds were not helping with the pain I didn't want a narcotic but ended getting hydrocodone-apap 5-325 went home with meds and had made an appointment friday but yesterday7/24/2010 I woke and I could not walk at all I was in so much pain I could not even go potty so my boyfriend took me to the er again (Texas Health presbyterian hospital in Dallas Tx) and they admitted me in I had taken a Mri 7/22/2010 last time I was here so they knew what was up I was told that they were going to do the surgery and the cool thing was that the doctor that did my surgery is actually the doctor I made the appointment with (Dr charles Banta II ) he came in on his day off 7/24/2010 and sat and we had discussed what my options were and I was able to ask him many questions I never met him before and he really made me feel comfortable and was able to answer my questions it was great so they prepared me for the surgery for in the morning I was in so much pain last night it was crazy I wish my boyfriend didn't have to see me like that the nurses were great and did the best they could to help with the pain thank gosh I got to have an iv that I got to press a on after every 7 minutes for the pain med it is called Dalita ( HYDOmorphone HCI) when I went down to get the surgery I was able to talk to the doctor he was great and I asked to please will you un pinch my nerve down my left leg he said yes he would and I asked how he would do the surgery and he said he is going to take that piece out etc... I was very scared but the surgery went well when I woke up the doc asked how my leg felt it took me a minute to comprehend but I answered and said there is no pain but I did have pain in my back where they did the surgery and they fixed that to it was great all the staff and the doctors here at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital they are awesome and for the first time in my life having surgery experience and feel very comfortable here I am very thankful Jesus really loves me I can now have my life back thank you all for helping me and most thank you Yahoo for having Yahoo answer if anyone has any questions Please e-mail me at guppygurl80@ yahoo.com THANK YOU ALL!
