Sole Proprietors: Tax or Law?

Since you enjoy the business end, maybe something like mergers & acquisitions or antitrust would work. Remember, too, that tax law is quite different than tax accounting. You won't be doing tax returns or anything like that as a tax lawyer. You could specialize in estate planning or tax controversy or the lots of other little areas of tax law. I think it'd give you that intellectual challenge you need. Take a look at the link in my source section. It's a thread from a law school forum about tax law.
