House training a puppy?

we have a puppy (chiuhauah mix) or however u spell it. and we have tried everything from crate training (doing it exactly how it says to do it on respected pet websites) rubbin his nose in piss as soon as he does it and whippin him and tellin him he's bad and puttin him outside. and he cant seem to get it through his head. He does the total opposite of what he's supposed 2 do...instead of holdin his pee while he's inside and waitin for us to put him out to pee, he will hold his pee while he's OUTside and wait till we let him in and as soon as he comes in he pisses in the floor, its like he's ******* with us... he knows he's doin wrong by pissin in the floor because i will notice he will go hide from us (even before we even known he's pissed sumwhere) and next thing i know sure enough i find the piss....is there anything i can do? please help, we love the poor dog so much but we cant have the piss thing goin on, the puppys name is peanut but i call him my shuggy man
