What do you think will eventually happen to this culture?

It is a country with a 1000+ year history. This country has a very rich cultural past and wonderful traditions that go back perhaps millennia; however they don’t care, they are in love with the West and are constantly trying to forget who they are by borrowing Western traditions and forgetting their own. The culture is suffering; it is a Catholic country, perhaps the only Catholic country that now celebrates Halloween! Pop stars and other celebrities are changing their surnames to more American/English sounding surnames! Modern stories/books and movies are based on English mythology – but this is a Slavic country we are talking about, whose mythology is just as rich if not richer! Everywhere you look in newspapers, magazines there is evidence of this – its like brainwashing, everywhere you look they are trying to change the culture into something completely new. The language is suffering, and it is in the language that it’s most apparent. Loan words, completely useless loan words are being introduced to the language every day! Old words are being replaced by words of English origin, old phrases and traditions are being replaced by ones of English origin. You could say that the language is becoming pidgin language, a sort of mix of English and the original language. Countless numbers of young people are leaving the country to work in the West; there are numerous villages and even small cities with virtually no young people! Those that leave marry into other nationalities, and the estimates for people that left are astonishing! 15+ million young people for a country that had 40 million people at most. I am from this country, and I once cared, but now I could care less, I divorced myself from my nationality so to avoid the pain of watching it die
